Sprinkler Poem by Joshua Mccoy

Sprinkler

Back and forth
Back and forth
Side to side
Side to side
Rotating and turning
Freezing yet burning
Shooting fire and ice
You know it’s not very nice
To split between three
But when it comes around to me
And I get sprayed in the face
The water tends to dry out
As if coming in dead last during a race
I get drops in a light haze
While others get dense pressure blasts
I am unwillingly consumed by an ancient maze
These sky high walls haunt the future from my past
I fall to my knees
This cannot last
I will overcome this maze of despair
And bulldozer the self built walls of the past.
