Stain The Silence - Poem by Dexsta Ray Jr.
To really restrain the violence
Place a stain on the silence
And teach the rest to redirect the misguided
Not too many abided
And that was why we couldn't heal
Who in Hades decided people's lives are good to steal?
And altruism should appeal to the masses
They've clearly thrown good will in a casket
Uncle Sam needed glasses
And it's sad that things don't change
Like taking a loss and trying to make up post-game
Enmity's a gross thing and it makes no sense
Even if you ask for pennies
They may take offense
Cause' egotism plays a role
I'll pray to God until the day is old
A fork in the road?
Lord reveal the way to go
What I focus on the most is the spirit within
Regardless of a person's size or the pigment in skin
The devil's working overtime and he's getting it in
