Stalemate(S) Poem by Ray X. Johnson

Stalemate(S)

Rating: 5.0

She thinks it's better
to stand her ground
& say nothing,
like a loser weary poker head
because, she needs to be right/
to win & justify her
inaccuracy to communicate
imperfection...
He thinks it's better
to stand his ground
& say nothing,
because, he needs life
to blossom bright tomorrows
beyond gloomy clouds...
& from more than just
pretty pictures & poetic prayers...
They both suffer from a
stubborn stupidity,
derived From painful pasts...
sex partners posing
as compatible souls
like nervous tricks
& confident hoes,
amongst solemn cemeteries
of artificial grass...
where dead lovers are plenty
like Fatigued chess players,
who realize the game is over
& that there are no more moves...
For love to mask.

A nice penning expressing the loss & getting fatigued but still lamenting. Request you to read my poem in the same name STALEMATE.
