Stand Up Poem by david dean anderson

Stand Up

When life has got you down
down on the ground and ready to give up
Look up stand up and fight back.
Its only then that you find out what
You are made of.

Get up, stand up, and fight back.
Never give up, die if you must,
but die on your feet.

The test of life is not to win or lose.
It is whether you give up or
Stand up and fight even though
you know, to win is hopeless.

Only then are you truly a man.
Get up, stand up, and fight back.
Never give up, die if you must,
But die on your feet.

This your own truth is all that you truly own.
It is what makes you a man.
Not how much you got, not how tuff you are,
Or how much pain you can take.

Its whether or not you stand up.
So in the end, stand up and fight.
