Standing There Tall, Poem by Katie Here

Standing There Tall,

Rating: 5.0

Standing there tall,
Seeming not to have a care in the world
Other then your fly getup
But not of what they think
Not how they’ll judge you
But that is untrue
You care passionately

You bask in the glory of every comment
They have nothing rude to say
You blew them all away
You’re already gaining a fan base

But secretly you have hidden
A silent truth that burdens you more then most know
You’ve done your best to hide it
But with time some must come to know
As they all find out
One by one
You will not be thought less of
Some of them will notice how much of a gift
Your talent is to you
Those who do not will vanish in time
Leaving you with the ones who truly care
The ones who truly matter

And despite it all
Remember that
In the end
They will stay
