Star Poem by darren thomas

Star

She could
without even trying
hold a star in the palm of her hand
and with just a touch more imagination
she would sew the cloth of her darkness
into the whole of every night sky
seamlessly
folding it back toward a daylight
before anyone would even notice

except the stars
the nine muses
and me.
