Star Crossed Lovers Poem by Crystal Pierce

Star Crossed Lovers

Oh, darling hold my hand.
Take me to a rule free land.
Stay close at my side and never part.
You, my love, have the key to my heart.

Our fathers may not like the other,
but that can't stop us from being lovers!
Not having your love is torture to me.
Life like that just wouldn't be.

Our love shall not be put to rest,
for darling your love is the best.
Take my heart wherever you may go,
and our love will surely grow.

'Departure is such sweet sorrow'
but I'll love you today and tomorrow.
Oh, love do you have to go,
I guess it is so.

Oh darling good-bye and farewell.
Our time together was short but swell.
Tomorrow will meet at the edge of town,
but as for now think of me when your head you lay down.

favorite line so far: Life like that just wouldn't be. for darling you're love is the best.............your..........minus one point! ! ! Tomorrow will meet at the edge of town, but as for now think of me when your head you lay down. ...ha ha! you managed to get lay, not lie; many people would incorrectly use lie. [and you 'got' your this time. hee-hee] BUT i think you 'want' we'll/we will/shall, not well. so, are you drum general yet? ! bri :) oh, btw, the poem is GREAT. very nice job. to MyPoemList it goes. So, .....................IS THERE a 'love/lover' in your life, young lady? i won't tell. :)
