‘ Starclouds And A Moon … ’ Poem by MoonBee Canady

‘ Starclouds And A Moon … ’

HE Gave Me Starclouds And A Moon
In A Sparkle-Sprinkled Room
With An Ocean Wave Floor
And Sunglow Outlined The Door

It was A Cosmic Confection
Amidst A Black Velvet Complexion
Of Heavy Curtains, As They Swayed
As Time Slipped Away …

Within A Zooming Top Story
Of An Amazing Observatory
It Was Vividly Voluminous
It Was Infinity - Fabulous

I Wide-Eyed Gazed
As I Entered This Outer Space …

I Saw Distant Orbital Spheres
And Hi-Tech Satellites Out Here
I Saw Asteroid Rainbow Rings
And Other Unknown Glittery Beams

I Caught A Comet By The Tail
Pulsar(ed) It In Before It Fell
I Saw Huge Planets Collide
… The Rubble Looked Like Dark Matter Pride

I Saw More Than One Eclipse
I Saw Space Stations And Spaceships
I Saw Someone Skipping On Stones
In An Interstellar Zone

I Saw Our Home World Thru A Window
… I Saw GOD’s Awesome Shadow …

And What Some Thought Was A Black Hole
Was An Intergalactic Goal …
Where Angels Played And Scored
And At Intermission, Their Harpsichords

I Heard The Universe Whisper
“She Loves Us … Now Kiss Her”
As Breathtaking Solar Gusts
Navigated To The Nexus

And Right Before It Was Over …
I Saw A Supernova!

When The Speed Of Light Stopped
It Was Like An Elevator’s Long Drop
As I Floated Within The Room
Filled With Starclouds And A Moon …

I Never Want To Leave
All That I Have Seen
In This Room With A View
… You Got One … Just Look Up Too!
