Iris Balgaire

Stargazer - Poem by Iris Balgaire

Count the scars on my skin
Like the stars in your sky
Wait until my ribs cave in
And watch my eyes when I lie

Do not speak at all
Lay in the dark with me
See burdened demons crawl
Back into a withered sea

Count the bruises on my bones
Stargaze a constellation
And lay on your golden thrones
Until I succumb to temptation
