Stars Poem by S.C. Ouel

Stars

In the night,
The stars shine bright,
Though there is no moon tonight.
Bright as day,
They light the way,
With a shimmering, hopeful ray.
What is found
That is more sound
In this world, by darkness crowned?
All the rest
Is useless at best
What at worst cannot be guessed.
The darkest fear,
The shimmering tear,
Is by each star held gently near.
I think these beams,
Eternity's seams,
Are more important than mankind dreams.
