Stars Are Worlds Poem by Shalom Freedman

Stars Are Worlds

STARS ARE WORLDS

Stars are worlds
But uninhabitable worlds
Violent worlds
Inhuman worlds
Not the worlds we dream
Stars are worlds
But not the worlds we long for
When we see them in the distance-

Stars are worlds
And they are in us
But they are not the worlds we dream
When we look in longing at the night
And imagine all the Beauty there is
So far away from us
And which we will one day
Travel to and reach.
