Start Each Day Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Start Each Day

Rating: 3.5

Perhaps with a prayer,
If you so choose,
Being grateful for being here,
At the start of a brand new day.
A good thing to do, before you get
On your way.

Give a happy good morning to one
Close by.
Put a cap on that sigh...to stop it.
Hum a little melody,
Or burst out with song, you will
Feel free.

look in the mirror and give yourself
A smile,
They really are still in style.
Too old to hop, skip or run,
Makes no difference, the day can still
Be fun.

Tell someone you love them,
Maybe just yourself,
Why not take yourself off the shelf!
Go out and mingle or stay in and
Telephone a friend,
Think positive today, end it with a grin...
In the end you win!

That's all folks!
I'm smiling here!
