Starting To Love

You are nothing but a tool
With your endless dark eyes
And your messy black hair
And your exceptional face
You think I'm head over heels for you
But I swear to you I'm not

You are nothing but a tool
With your thoughtless sarcasm
And your crazy sense of humor that we share, like our extremly random thoughts
And your confidence in yourself, that causes your self esteem to be high at times
You think you are the only thing always on my mind
But I swear to you you're not

You are nothing but a tool
When you tell me things you wouldn't tell your best friend
When you tell me how you feel about me, and get shy afterwards
When you get mad at me for saying ' I don't know ' to all your questions
When you get mad at me for being quiet because I don't know what to say about your hearts desires
You think I'm completely in love with you
But I swear to you I'm not

You are nothing but a tool
Because I'm starting to fall head over heels for you
Because you're starting to be the only thing always on my mind
Because I'm starting to be in love with you
I swore I wouldn't go through this with you again
But you are nothing but a tool,
A tool that mends my heart
You keep it together
Always and forever

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Your hands lie open in the long fresh grass, --
The finger-points look through like rosy blooms:
Your eyes smile peace. The pasture gleams and glooms
