State Of Life Poem by Nicolas 'Kokonutz' Kokonas

State Of Life

Tales from tomorrow
Shall never be told by the mouths around the nipples of the old
We will sit lonely
Like the men up on the parkway
Talking about the old days
When we had voices to lend to the
Direction of the wind
A battle never won, always lost
But at what cost
To the man buying milk to feed his family
And up on the hill is where all the
Glory still remains
So we are digging in the shadows to arise from underground
So farewell my flowers for now
The wicked will so feed your souls
