Why do you try to steer me
I'm tired of trying to be someone that you I am
Feeling so lost in familiar territory
I always know what you want
But never what I want because of you
Every inch I move within you is a mistake
Let me be me
I want to achieve my dreams not yours
I feel like I'm on all fours
With you on my back whipping me like a racehorse
I stand in the mirror looking back at you
Why do you try to steer me
