Step Dad Poem by Nicholas Wayde Turner 24

Step Dad

You were nice for that short time?
Why did you have to go and commit that crime?
I thought you knew how I felt.
Why did you have to go and pull out that belt?
There are so many things that you did wrong.
You even tried to beat me with a tong.
You put on an act for everyone that lives outside.
But everyone knows you don't let him be your guide.

That's dark and hurtful, hope you came out ok on the other end of that. I'm a stepdad myself and take my honor and responsibility seriously. Great write nonetheless. Please check out my poems, I'd appreciate it.
