Sorry I didn’t tell you
Today was time to leave
There is no need for sorrow
There is no need to grieve

I’d overstayed my welcome
Life was no longer there
It was time for something new
To live beyond the chair

You may not understand it
Or want to let me go
But this is an adventure
A chance for me to grow

I’m off on a long journey
I’ve put it off a while
I just wanted to say goodbye
And leave you with a smile
