Stewards Like Elves Poem by John Lowe

Stewards Like Elves

The goblin host so quickly destroys,
Painted flowers and crystal waters,
Hallowed ground is soon defiled,
Earth and stone so deeply scarred,
Trees of ancient pasts so fair,
Fall beneath the beat of axes,
While we are so appalled,
Our protests against this we scream,
How are we so different,
Who do not spare the nature around us?
If we could only protect the beauty about us,
The stewards like elves we shall be
