Still As Still (Philosophy) Poem by Rudolph Adidi

Still As Still (Philosophy)

As still as Night
I sat in my room
Reminiscing how my friendship lit up a forest to its dust
All I hear are humour of crickets
Laughing songs homophonic from my window.

As still as the sun
My thoughts froze
To distant anything in the earth of the present,
Only to let my pen revolve the earth's form
To construct words my mind use to allege

As still as pause
My skin listened
To the mosquitoes songs of victory
Hitting one's self like a madman's fight.

As still as night
My ears twitched
As the second hand travels the clock
Going tick tick like the footsteps of an infant ghost.
As still as night
I feared,
Feared for the night I never slept.
