Still of the night

Moonlight falls over
the mountains
Coolness spreads
all through the air
Silky clouds sail gently
across the heights
Moon River flows
throughout the night

Houses and streets
Gardens and fields
Mountains and lakes
Immerse in Moon water

Droplets of dew fall
from the sky
Like tiny crystals flying
through the air
Touches of freshness
from heaven
Enliven the green
lives on earth

Stars brightly twinkle
all over the sky
Like hundreds of flowers
blooming to spy
Continuously twinkle
throughout the night
Beautifully illuminating
the blackish sky

Streets are lonesome
in the dark
Lamps do burn
all night long
Houses gleam in
pale dim lights
Spreading a hush
in the still of the night
