Still Waiting
Where's that special something
You used to carry all the day
Regal like a queen without a king
You abdicate from far away
Who's the muscle-bound playmate
I saw you with late last night
Perhaps it was just an act of fate
As I watched you wander out of sight
Once we had a rendezvous
You stood me up that afternoon
I guess you thought I was past due
If you never showed up it was all too soon
How's your happy-ever after life song
You know the time is drifting on
It's much shorter than it is long
And soon it will all be gone
