Stillness Of The Morning Poem by Marilyn Lott

Stillness Of The Morning

Rating: 5.0

In the stillness of the morning
As the early sun appears
My pond slowly becomes visual
Such beauty it brings me tears

Yellow streaks on the horizon
As the darkness comes alive
Birds chirp in early wakefulness
Another day in which to thrive

The air is fresh with dewdrops
Coolness from the night
I watch my pond awaken
As it slowly comes in sight

I feel such total humbleness
As my world comes very clear
God has given me another day
And I will hold it oh so dear!
