Stitches For Show Poem by Silence Dogood

Stitches For Show

Rating: 5.0

Your stitches are for show.
On a perfectly good heart.
Your not broken.
And your not breaking apart.

So spare me the story.
That your sure to tell.
It's all weaved with lies.
of your personal hell.

And save the tears.
For those who've earned it.
Who've gone through the pain.
And had to endure it.

And don't you dare ask for glue.
From the best guy in class.
Don't you dare ask him to mend you.
When were fragile as glass.

Because our stitches are real.
Our wounds not fake.
And we hurt even more.
With every step that you take.

Because every step.
Is stepped on our hearts.
And every lie.
Tears us futher apart.

And all the pretending.
That you always do.
Just makes it harder.
To be mended with glue.

And all that decieving.
That you did without care.
Just makes it harder.
For us to seal these tears.

So sit down shut up.
As the real broken hearts walk on by.
Shut your pretty lips and dont say a word.
Just keep on looking at our tear-stained eyes.

Because this heres for the girls.
Whose stitches aren't for show.
Who've gone through the pain.
That you'll never know.
