Stone Angels Poem by joy olree

Stone Angels

Sad eyes, tragedy of stillness,
Trophy on the walk way,
A tribute to the vanity of men,
Unhealthy lifestyles,
Misplaced values,
Treasuring the unreal,
The unnatural,
Unity of step, frailty of stature,
The unattainable fantasy,
Woe to the beautiful,
Wizards and magicians,
Wait to transform you,
Whispers of wonder and wealth,
Just a number a needless necessity,
Trust uniqueness to pay your way,
Twist and turn a vision of beauty,
Weak and weary nonsense,
Smile, hide the sadness,
Pretend it does not matter,
The reward out weighs the pain,
What use is life if nobody?
Knows your name,
Fame and money have no taste,
But vegetables pay no bills,
If the world was different,
If there were no judgments,
Maybe stone angels could be free,
To live their lives as God intended,
Instead of projected realities,
That will never be real
