stop!
look! and listen!
just for one moment....

turn and look at the faces
of all those around you.
can you see the need?

the desire? the hurt?
can you feel the lonliness?
hearts beating... just like yours!

listen to the earth cry out!
to the dirge of the rivers.
to the sad farewell of the trees,

the mountains... the birds,
the wolves, the fishes.
a part of you dying!

and that low lonesome sound....
can it be the voice of God
singing that song which

has your name?
