Stop Saving Me Poem by Vision Ghost

Stop Saving Me

Rating: 5.0

It’s been so many years and so many unbound fears
Never stopped thinking you’d be there almost anywhere

A tragedy of what must come and I must tell someone
The reins are my hindrance to all of life’s endurance

This is gonna break your heart but I must play my part
So please just hear me or else this will break me too

You’ve got to stop saving me
Always been there but I need to be free
You’ve got to stop saving me
It’s a brutal world but something I’ve gotta see

With sunken heart but hardened a soul to depart
I’ve so many memories to keep in all entireties

This bond we had we will always have so be glad
That you were my armour which I wear with honour

This is gonna break your heart but I must play my part
So please just hear me or else this will break me too

You’ve got to stop saving me
Always been there but I need to be free
You’ve got to stop saving me
It’s a brutal world but something I’ve gotta see

You gave me so much and I’m here
You gave so much and I’m without fear
You gave me so much to help me steer
You gave so much and I’m without fear

You’ve got to stop saving me
Always been there but I need to be free
You’ve got to stop saving me
It’s a brutal world but something I’ve gotta see

'That you were my armour which I wear with honour' was a phrase that struck me by its beauty. The whole text has that honesty which makes one stop and think. Nice!
