Stop To Think

The world was such a peaceful place
Till Adam bore the curse
Yet sin within the human race
Will make it daily worse

Satanic life has come so far
Now fear and turmoil reign
Where even children bear the scar
And walk the path of Cain

There’s murder, rape, robbery, deceit
No matter where we go
It’s commonplace to lie and cheat
Yet no one wants to know

Man wants the things he doesn’t need
He grabs, what comes in sight
On sin, the flesh can learn to feed
Then eat; with great delight

It’s time we stop and start to think
When will it ever end?
Just how much further must we sink?
How long, can we pretend?

We live this life from day to day
Inside, we feel alone
The devil pulls, to have his way
But Jesus draws; His own

Within the mind, the fight goes on
Twixt truth and Satan’s lie
A few believe God’s faithful Son
And turn to Him on high

His Spirit comes to set them free
To cleanse in Morning Dew
The Truthful Word heals eyes to see
And leads to life anew…
