Stop Trying To Break Me Poem by Kovan White

Stop Trying To Break Me

Someone's got it in for me but I'm not going to let them succeed
They're trying to bring me down slowly man you wouldn't believe
What I go through, on any given day, no play
Not any given Sunday, I'm talking every single day

They want to see me give up but I will never lie down
Everyday I show up they're always wearing a frown
I just smile, like wow, what are you going to do now
I saw you put on that frown so I'll just keep up this smile

They're trying to hold me back from climbing straight to the top
But like Bad Boy Imma tell you that I just won't stop
I'm never gone drop forever holding my spot
So what the temperatures hot… want me to give up I'm not
Your words' not meaning a lot want me to jump off the dock?
They're steady buying different keys I'm steady picking the lock
