It’s easy to assume in this ever lasting life
Between love, the loss and sometimes strife
Never give your soul to something
That will never give it back

I never said I would ever come here today
With nothing else new you could not say
No point singing it when no one listens
It wasn’t meant to be an attack

I can’t change the past but I can build the future
Can’t take away this pain but I can show you the cure
Can’t understand it all but I can still keep trying
I know I can believe because I have stopped crying

I can be as sorry for all the hearts I broke
But that won’t change the man I now stoke
Living in the past is no further on
From hating yourself inside

Jumping to the defence and I hurt a friend
Thinking it was all too hard to see the end
I can never ever help you if it all
You forever want run to and hide
