So do you know how to tell a tale
Is it fiction or non-fiction
Does it have a hero a villain a damsel in distress
Would you end the story with satisfaction
Then ruin it with a sequel
Would you lead the reader to the most predictable thought
Then pull that unsuspecting twist
Throwing everyone through a loop
Would you have a way with words
That people would want to hear it again
With no end to this wonderful tale
Or would you fail
Then lose your glory and fame
Then labeled a bad author
Or would you win best author of the year
Then be forgotten the next
Where do you take the readers
Minds so that it’s not just a read
But an adventure
So for all storytellers
I say speak with the words
From the heart and mind
