Storm Poem by Alc Harris

Storm

Rating: 4.0

A storm it is coming
Cross this open shore
That once did lay barren
Now footsteps do adorn
almost all
Some untouched
with regrets, for some stepped

The sun it does fade,
its welcome light
Darkens overhead, in shadows does stand
Whilst in the distance
growls of forthcoming doom
echo across the land

The birds they will scatter
As the wind hastens still
Bringing fresh lungs of rain
That cleanses the air
Brings a chill
But with it, a vibrant light
That shatters the dark
Illuminating footsteps once forgot
Trodden over time,
And with this light
A knowing
Of time and tide
As the storm moves away
Leaves tranquillity behind
A heavenly silence
A welcoming calm
Rebirth of a soul
Through the eye of the storm
