Storm's A Comin Poem by David Darbyshire

Storm's A Comin

Rating: 5.0

The storm grew
It's nearly due
nail yourself in
time runnin thin

cars flying by
gravity they defy
horse in the air
we all did stare

were down in the cellar
all clung together
we wish for hope
and a flat bottom boat

the storm blew by
now a nice blue sky
we thought we were going to die
but the sun is shining.
and we are home and dry

Well, I'm glad you all survived! Spring is always a good time for tornadoes here in Michigan but I've never actually experienced one yet (knock on wood) . Glad this had a happy ending Dave! Sincerely, Mary
