Storms Poem by Keri Jopplin

Storms

Rating: 5.0

Do I dare approach passion with loaded gun?
Hoping to hear your heart, to taste your tongue?

Be fair I say, hearts mercies are tender, unfeigned.
I believe in expanded emotions, sincerely fine grained;

I open my mind that you might walk among
My thoughts, knowing my heart that you are the one.

Walk with me through our world...together we are sustained,
Embellished as we dare to believe, allowing trust to regain.

My willingness to embrace you, am I silenced, unfinished?
Ambushed by a computer screen is it forever diminished?
