Story Of Desertion Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Story Of Desertion

Rating: 5.0

All but two have deserted
Denture can not be fitted
As two hunter stalwarts refuse to budge
How can I deny their existence and judge?

So far they were part of beautiful face
From roots they have been erased
Some by force and some by nature
I look in mirror but sadly censor

What to eat and what not to eat!
No hard stuff makes it fit
To consume and digest
So I go for soft food to test

People see me and open mouth
Oh! Is that same man with beautiful teeth?
I hide face but not with embarrassment
We got to hear such kind of comments

Days were passing with lots of pain
The tooth was never giving way to maintain
I lost one by one in succession
This is sad story of desertion
