Stout-Waisted Clouds Limp Across Skies. Poem by sundaram chandrakalaadhar

Stout-Waisted Clouds Limp Across Skies.

Stout-waisted clouds
slowly limp across the skies-

Sun wihdraws his last glance over earth;
slowly slips into the mysteries of horizon-

A heavy silence hangs in the air around;
the day in sadness folds close its petals-

I salute in solemn gratitude;
paste yet another day to the past!

Aall of a sudden an emboldened star
peeps in blooming smile right over me-

A train speeds up in the distance;
seems its wheels run over others in crash!

Confused crows caw feebly at midnight
from unseen nests for reasons unknown.
