Strange Behavior Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Strange Behavior

Rating: 5.0

It is strange behavior
Not to remember
Their own people
Who were there to help in trouble?

There is exodus
From village to cities
For education
And profession

For years there is no visit to native place
As if old link is lost and left behind no trace
There remains mere formality
Not an end of relation but with discontinuity

Life is good and different with natives
Lots of people are there as relatives
There is mad rush towards foreign countries
For better prospectus

They have severed link as if least concerned
For years they have not returned
Their children have no roots
They seem totally alien when set feet

Let person go to any part of the world
Their children must certainly be told
Of the link where he belonged and stayed
Else on their visit, they may be totally dismayed
