Strange Obsessions Poem by Lance Carthen

Strange Obsessions

I feel so sexy in lipstick.
Smeared mascarra is my trip.
Strange obsessions in my life-
Being normal is a sacrifice.
I remember when I was a seed
Growing in a circle of psychosis,
Different realities a dream.
I loved being strange.
Being strange is me.
I would never take it back.
They'll just keep calling me obscene.
Love the feel of the fur coat,
To many drugs, it's not joke.
Driving down a gold road
In my dreams, tendencies untold,
Was a little boy picking flowers in a field.
Don't be worried dad,
Just take your golden seal.
If you have these strange temptations
Of the oddness that you feel.
Dont take them for granted
Because what you think should be fake
As sure as hell, it can be real.
Love the feel of strange times.
They get me off through my life.
Different reflections get me so high.
The further into oddness I climb-
Why dont we all just share a smile
