Stranger Poem by Christal Carpenter

Stranger

there once stood the soul
of eternal torment bind

and there she stood
the truth willing to find

hand in the hand of a stranger
never realizing true danger

the world around her walking blind

star shine, star blind
never mine, never mind

nonsense mother says
but what does she know

the words of a stranger
never realizing true danger
innocent as Jesus
just lying in a manger
walking hand in hand
with a stranger

there now stood the soul
of eternal torment bind

and there she stood
the truth she thought she did find

walking forward seeming
though falling from her gleaming

star shine, star blind
never mine, never mind

nonsense mother says
but what does she know

the words of a stranger
she never realized true danger
she was innocent as Jesus
just lying in a manger
dieing in the hands
of a stranger
