Stranger Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Stranger

Rating: 5.0

Today on the Tube
I was confused

a stranger
had borrowed your laughter

a stranger
was wearing your body

a stranger
looking at me with your eyes

a stranger
dressed in your smile

a stranger
looking so much like you

but
not
you.

You a stranger
to me
now.

I lost
myself
in the crowd

turned away
to cry

seeing you everywhere.
