Stray Poem by Saiom Shriver

Stray

Rating: 4.5

A hungry cold
abandoned stray
Malnutrition did
his feet splay.
Homeowners doused him
with pepper spray
and terrorized him
shouting
'go away'.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In the 60's there was a cartoon of a man
in his yard yelling 'Go home' and
a bubble above the dog's head
said 'I don't have a home'
