Stretch Poem by Edwina Reizer

Stretch

Stretch in the morning
when you open your eyes.
Stretch those muscles
before you arise.

Be like the cat
or dog you see
who won't make a move
til its muscles are free.

Stretch out your life.
Don't move so fast.
Move a little slower
to make it last.

Be like the cat
that has nine lives.
Fall gently.
That's how one survives
