Strikes Poem by Jared Bradford

Strikes

Strike One
Sorry Son
I just took out all the fun
I just took out all the sun
I can't sit back and not be stunned
If I were you then I would run
Life's hanging on the balance of a gun
Or just a finger on the trigger

Sorry Boo
Strike Two
I really screwed it with me and you
I would change it with me and you
Better believe that to be true
I feel like gum stuck on your shoe
Didn't mean to throw your heart, but I threw
If only I knew, If only I knew

Strike Three
Sorry Me
I just didn't know who to be
I never ever could see
How I could possibly be free
Life will never be the same
It's a beast I cannot tame
There's no one else to blame
Life just threw a perfect game.
