Stumble Poem by David Harris

Stumble

We stumble through life
letting good and bad
things enter in there.
Sometimes the good
outweighs the bad,
and sometimes the bad
outweighs the good.

We never know
the shape of our life
to come,
nor how much good
and bad we’ll let in.
We just stumble along
letting this happen
sometimes out of our control.

There are times
when we stop to reflect
of how our life
is shaping up.
We then stumble forward,
try to make amends
for the bad thing we’ve done.
Unfortunately, time won’t
let us turn back the clock.
