Stupid In Love Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Stupid In Love

I've paid the price
Became too comfortable
Playing a role
felt satisfied enough
letting down my guards
Opening up my heart
Assuming that this someone
Wouldn't dare hurt me

Days would pass me by
Where I become teary eyed
When I begun to understand why
I have been charmed by the lies

Wasn't I the fool?
treating me so cruel
In my mind
You were undeserving
Though, at first, you had potential
I would love you like no other
When I was just so stupid in love
