Stupid Little Cupid Poem by Deepthi Vincent

Stupid Little Cupid

How I hate cupid
Is he really stupid?
I don't have a clue
He made my days so blue

Why he shot his dart
Straight into my heart?
Now I'm stuck in love
It's not a joke, I vow

I still remember the day
You took my heart away
With an enamoring smile
You touched my soul

It was inevitable though
I slipped and fall for you
The love of my soul
You swept me off my feet

Then you left me all alone
And went across the seas
With twinkle in your eyes
And a promise to return

Oh! How I miss my love
There's nothing I could do
I know this game he plays
Stupid little cupid!

Counting the days, baby
I'm waiting for thee
Come home to me
Let me love you forever

Like the sea and the shore
Let my soul merge with yours
Day after day, Night after night
Let me love you more
