Styrofoam Coffee Cups Poem by Zac Wittstruck

Styrofoam Coffee Cups

finally
people were beginning to understand
the magnitude of the situation
when styrofoam coffee cups
collectively counterattacked
the reflectivity of the sun
and shattered
plexiglas windows
leaving disgruntled widows
protesting to the coffee shop
higher ups
who were reserving
the twenty eighth amendment
the right to refuse refunds
the widows
formed a coalition and took their complaints
to their local jurisdiction who
for the first time in their
backward history
allowed the assemblage
to demonstrate
an exaggerated reenactment
to their pleasing
seeking approval from the majority
who were away
on holiday
