Sub Prime Crisis (Haiku)

An Earthquake of greed-
Tsunami of Sub Prime Crisis
in sea of finance

The Sub Prime Crisis-
Starvation for poor and
dieting for rich

The Sub Prime Crisis-
Dip in rich people’s wealth and
trough in poor’s belly

Government withholds
Food packets from the poor-
Gives package to rich

A bankrupt banker
goes to bank to take a loan-
Bank asks for the same

Investment banker
badly hit by market crash-
Beaten by a mob

The Sub Prime Crisis-
All leaves of money minting
employees cancelled

    Your haiku is a similar short piece more to the haiku. The real haiku has determined requirements. Basic it: the theme associated with the nature, structure (5.7,5) and time (everything is happening in the time - now. Straightest - it is record of the moment. All other works similar to the haiku, are haiku-similar miniatures. Your miniatures are very good, referring to matters everyday, associated with functioning of the man in real world, irrespective of the beauty and admirations with nature. Such miniatures are great even for exercising their abilities. They are teaching words the economy, eliminating the unnecessary garrulousness. Very much it is easy then to proceed to write poems with method of the 'haiku'. Such poems, at the good subject matter, most often give excellent effects. Ascetic structure, included concretums - permit the value of the poem the apt evaluation. I read with pleasure. I like it very much. I am greeting warmly. :)

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

It is the hour when from the boughs
The nightingale's high note is heard;
It is the hour -- when lover's vows
Seem sweet in every whisper'd word;
And gentle winds and waters near,
