Subconscious Dive Poem by Danny The Dreamer Boyd

Subconscious Dive

I sleep then swim in my subconscious still:
Oh, since—Alas! —it's only where we meet;
Unable with my stormy thoughts compete:
Which make me shriek, while lacking not the skill;
Despite worn out, with but a shaken will:
It beams in me to all these odds but beat,
And try for once my wicked fate to cheat,
If only for an overnight's mere thrill!
Yet when I wake, your visitations weep:
Because I can't your very soul restore,
And in the wake of dreams I'm left with dew!
I count the seconds till I'm back to sleep:
To dive deep down our make-believe amour,
As all I've wanted all my life is you!
