Submission Poem by Mitzi Albright

Submission

Rating: 4.5

Sitting on the side
Watching time go by
God I need a real decision

See myself get lost
And all that it might cost
Got to find my mission

Crossing off more names
Trying to stay sane
What is my condition?

Give myself away
To just another stray
Do I need permission?

Cry until the dawn
Know I’m just a pawn
Need an intermission

If only I could die
Wouldn’t need to ask you why
Pretend it was submission
