Successful Gentleman Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Successful Gentleman

Successful gentleman

Who can forget?
And let
Memory passes off that easily
When days were happily passing daily

She showed us real moon
When father was working in noon
Sweating for our comfort
But never retorted

Mother's one touch
Really Brought
Whole of heaven
On earth even

I was going to school
With barefoot to become successful
"Not all days may remain same"
She used to console me with no blame

What a creature?
For making me another
Successful human
In days to come to be as gentleman
